A lovely couple from Cleveland just left my Navona open house. They are renting in Naples for a few months while they look around at property. They had thought only to look at single family homes, when they came upon my sign outside of this Colony high rise. We looked at a few different Navona ideas. Bill said he had never really thought about living in a condo and had more than a few preconceived ideas about how it lived. He saw himself getting off the elevator to see the front doors of others homes and a hallway "catwalk" as was popular when he vacationed in Florida as a young guy. He was amazed that each of the homes we visited, that when the elevator door opened, we were in the private elevator entry, the foyer to the home being offered for sale. Both Bill and Donna commented on the views and thought they'd be hard pressed to come up with this kind of view from any single family home in Bonita Springs.
I proudly stated that he'd be impressed with what he saw and that not all Florida properties are financially stressed. Living in The Colony Golf & Bay Club presents the resident with an unprecedented amenity package. The Colony offers private dining at The Bay Club. Residents are welcome to utilize canoes and kayaks and/or learn to sail or visit via water taxi our 34-acre private beach park. Walking paths cover over 50 miles and there are several different state-of-the-art fitness options. Of course, golf and one of our areas biggest and best tennis programs with all levels of tennis being represented.

Finding a high rise option with a magnificent water view under $500,000 isn't easy to do in The Colony. Add to that, this particular offering has converted the den into a bedroom with a bath making this a true 3 bed/3 bath. Navona's residents enjoy the private elevator entry and the storm code impact glass.
Navona is the second to the youngest high rise in The Colony and boasts a contemporary theme in its lobby with the usual compliment of amenities; two guest suites, fitness, movie theatre, pool and social areas for residents to enjoy. A privacy officer welcomes guests and residents and is on duty approximately 10-12 hours a day, seven days a week. There 100 homes in Navona, 22 stories high. Floor plans range in size from 1670 square feet to 2091 of living space plus abundant lanai space for watch sunsets. Labels: Lifestyle

The Colony Golf and Bay Club. Lots of good news is being reported on various Colony neighborhood dues for 2012. First off, The Bay Club has reduced the annual dues from $1500 to $1350. Pelican Landing Community Association, as well, is reducing the annual dues from $1751 to $1500. This morning I learned that Castella's condo dues, with much to do with the wellness of their balance sheet, had reduced their annual Association fee by 9% in 2012. With Colony prices stabilizing and compelling interest rates, this is just further confirmation that now's the time.

Attention Colony residents: The Colony gate management has decided to get away from the ‘clicker’ system to get in and out of the gates, and is strictly going to the barcode system as of 12/31/2011. If you have a barcode on your car currently, there is no need for you to change anything. Residents using the clicker to operate the gates will need to go to the Pelican Landing Community Association office to retrieve a barcode, and you must be a resident of The Colony to receive one. Guests may get a gate pass, but it will only be valid for 90 days (residents are allowed gate passes as well, which could be beneficial for the intermittent resident). Castle Management’s purported motive is further protect residents. The barcode system will allow management to be more in control of who comes in and out of the gates. Better security….we all want that, don’t we? Share your thoughts and pose your questions to: Castle Management at (239) 498-5455. The Pelican Landing Community Association office is located at: 24501 Bonita Springs And their hours are: Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
